East Molesey
What’s Special
This tranquil village offers riverside living with the royal seal of approval.
Meander your way along the Thames Path to where the Rivers Moles and Thames meet and you’ll discover East Molesey, an enchanting village with riverside views and plenty of history.
Probably best known for its royal connections, East Molesey is situated opposite the magnificent Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII’s favourite residence and now host to the annual RHS Flower Show.
It is also home to Bridge Road, a protected conservation area nestled between the River and station. A charming collection of antique shops, art galleries and independent stores lines the street, as well as fine dining restaurants and al fresco cafes.
LOCAL AGENT INSIGHT
“East Molesey enjoys an extremely diverse housing stock,” says Andrew Miles, administrator at Miles & Bird Estate Agents. “It’s predominately made up of substantial Victorian and Edwardian homes in broad tree-lined avenues leading towards the village, and also 1920s and 1930s houses as part of the great expansion of London. It is a choice destination for young professionals, due to the great train service into London Waterloo; young families, because of the abundance of good schools; and retirees, thanks to the area’s peace and tranquillity.”
